even the republicans can’t defend this one 4 Replies I saw a link to this article by Kevin Drum on Badger’s site. I wish that my level of surprise matched my level of nausea.
This disaster is ripping the facades off a lot of situations. Staged photo ops meant to look like relief efforts. Race and poverty and discrimination and how it’s been spackled over for years. Lack of real security in a nation that prides itself on being secure. It’s all getting exposed and the filth and muck we’re finding behind the facades is going to give us national nausea for many years to come.
i have absolutely not been watching tv through all of this, not because i don’t want to know what’s going on but because i know all too well. i would like to read the history books in twenty years and see what they have to say about this tragedy, and this presidency.
Just when you think it couldn’t get any worse, it does.
Badger’s blog has ruled in her coverage and commentary of this natural and MAN MADE (think, FEMA?) disaster.
