Back from Texas. I’m sure I will wind up in hell for this, but I didn’t miss the kids. Not one bit. I have an unholy amount of things to attend to. I have some stories, too, but they’ll have to wait a bit. In the meantime, here are just a couple of photos.
Fink? Who the hell names their town Fink?
Oh, right. The state that our ever-so-intelligent-President comes from.
Hi Jen,
Welcome back! I totally forgot you were born in Texas- I grew up in Houston, and like you I also now live in California! Cool!
Are you going to go to Blogher this summer?
I want to go, I just have to convince my husband I will be just fine gallavanting around with a bunch of other women he doesn’t know š
Hope all is well,
Wendy
Those red boots would look so fabulous on my feet.
Glad you’re home.
Dix!
You KNOW it. But, uh, they cost about four hundred bucks. I still want them, though.
Wendy
YES I will be at blogher. See you there!
Capello
You gotta love fink, tx. I think it was a family name and that is how it came to be a town name. The sign used to say “population 3” but it kept getting stolen. All that’s there is a gas station (with a minimart and payphone!!) a hotel and uh, maybe a school at one time. There was all sorts of drama about it, but I don’t recall what it was. Now i’ll have to check!
Jen, I can’t believe you were HERE and you didn’t come see ME!!! Awww, I understand, but we have cows on the coast, too. In fact, we have a weird alchemy of coastal/beachy thing PLUS the whole ranchy/big bovine thing… with a dash of spicy Mexican goin’ on, too. Love it!
Glad you had fun! Can’t wait to hear the stories…
How did a town with the population of three support a gas station *and* a minimart *and* a hotel?
Okay, I totally know you’re ready to shove the red boot somewhere…
I’m a bit behind in blog reading..lol..Welcome back ! (Glad you were able to have a nice break..and for the record I USED to miss the kids when I went out..now I look for reasons to leave them at home (o.k. only sometimes..)..lol…
Cowboy Boots! I will take them all *sigh*
Gosh they’re gorgeous, I remember when.
