I took my Grandfather’s old Yashica to a local camera shop to see if they’d service it for me. It needs some help — the foam needs to be replaced, and the shutter speed stays constant no matter what the setting is. While I was there, I discovered that they had a floor-model canon digital rebel xt for sale. It was sort of an impulse buy, but if you look at my browsing history, you’d see that I’ve been drooling over them for a loooooong time. I haven’t been able to play with it much, but so far so good. I got it for less than any of the prices I’ve seen online, even the used prices, so that was great.
I can’t wait to get out and play with it. When I go to Spain, I just might break Flickr.
Oh my gosh–good find. I just might start cruising camera shops in the hopes of finding a similar deal. Damn.
